What is a Brower/Desktop Reminder Notification?

A Browser/Desktop Notification is also known as push notification. It is a 'pop-up' in your customer's desktop browser that serves as a daily reminder about the invoice(s) that are due for payment that day.

In a recent survey conducted, “Remind me when invoices are due“ was rated amongst the top 3 capabilities by Simplypaid users. Whilst our communication workflow schedules and sends regular reminder emails from your end, it can be missed and/or lost from the hustle and bustle of a work day on your customer's end. A browser/desktop reminder notification appears each time they open their browser, serving as quick reminder about invoice(s) due for payment everyday.

How does it work?

By default, browser/desktop reminder notifications will be enabled by default. Should you wish to disable it, simply go to Payment Settings, select Disabled under Browser/Desktop Reminder Notification and click Save.

When your customers go to make payment next on the Simplypaid portal, they will see an “Enabled Reminders“ bell icon.

Upon hovering on the “Enable Reminders“ text, your customers will see a tool tip that states what it does, "click her to receive reminders when your invoices are due".

Upon clicking on the “Enable Reminders“ option, your customers will receive a browser notification asking them whether or not they want to allow notifications on this browser.

Once the reminders are enabled, “Enable Reminders“ text changes to “Reminders Enabled“

On days when there are invoices due, upon opening the browser the first time after 9 am, your customers will receive a browser/desktop notification letting them know that there are invoices due on the day that they can pay off. Clicking on the reminder takes them directly to the Simplypaid portal if they are not already there, and continue with making payment.

Note: The notification will show your company name as well as your company logo.
