Prerequisites for Syncing ezyCollect with QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) Data
To ensure a seamless data sync between ezyCollect and your QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) company file, please follow these steps:
[Client] Create a Dedicated QuickBooks User:
Set up a dedicated read-only QuickBooks user specifically for ezyCollect. This user will facilitate the data sync from your current QBD company file.
[Client] Share QuickBooks File Information:
Provide the current QuickBooks file name.
Share the filepath where the .QBW file is hosted on the server.
[Client] Activate QODBC License:
Purchase the QODBC Server/Terminal Driver for QuickBooks 2024 Read Write Subscription License. [Cost will incur and please note that this is a yearly license that you must purchase to continouosly sync and use ezyCollect]
Activate the subscription by validating the CD-Key in the QODBC 32-bit Setup Screen application: Go to Activate/Deactivate > Activate.
4. [ezyCollect + Client] Schedule an 'Assisted Install' with our Installation team to implement and install ezyCollect Sync Agent:
[Client] Please provide a suitable date and time for a Teamviewer session your contact who has access to your QBD server and our Installation team. This will be arranged with your customer success manager.
[ezyCollect] Our Installation team will install the ezyCollect Sync Agent application on your QuickBooks Desktop server.
This service enables automated daily syncs and must run continuously.
[Client] Ensure that the ezyCollect Sync Service is set to auto-restart in case the server is restarted for maintenance.
5. [ezyCollect + Client] Install QODBC Driver for QuickBooks:
[ezyCollect] Our Installation team will also install the QODBC Driver for QuickBooks application on the server.
[Client] Ensure the 'QRemote Server for ODBC' application is always running and set to auto-restart if the server is restarted for maintenance
Installation & Syncing of Data from QuickBooks Desktop file to ezyCollect
Once the steps above are completed, the ezyCollect Installation team will continue the installation from our end, this is through the Teamviewer session scheduled with you. Further instructions or assistance via Teamviewer may be needed in some cases to ensure successful installation .
Following these steps will ensure that ezyCollect can effectively sync data with your QuickBooks Desktop setup.

Once install is completed, you will be notified and your customer success manager will arrange user access to your ezyCollect file/s.
