Don't worry, there are simple things you can do to protect your business from late or default payers.

ezyCollect now offers you single click integration with credit providers, lawyers and debt collection agencies.

The services we have available are:

  1. Business credit checks
  2. Request for a demand letter
  3. Referral to a debt collection agency

Credit check

Do this for new customers when you are unsure of their credit transaction history. You'll get a lot of information about their late and default payments history, plus an indication of their likelihood of registering an adverse credit event in the next 12 months.

  1. Go to Credit Check at the bottom of the left menu.
  2. Click the Request Now button then enter your customer's ABN or ACN in the pop-up window.
  3. Click Request Credit Check button to submit.

An illion Credit Check Report will be done quickly (usually within the same day) and the report emailed to you. Please note, there is no subscription charge for using this service and the cost per report is AUD$45.00 (excluding GST).

Letter of demand

For accounts that you think need a little third party push to complete payment, send a pre-legal demand letter. The letter will be sent to your nominated debtor within 24 hours of receiving your instructions via your ezyCollect system.

  1. Click Customers from the left menu.
  2. Select the customer to receive the demand letter by clicking into the tick box next to their name.
  3.  If they are on the Demand Letter Stage, click Send Demand Letter button. You will be asked to confirm this action in the pop-up box that appears.
  4. Alternatively, you can click the Communication Actions drop down box and select  Send Demand Letter. You will be asked to confirm this action in the pop-up box that appears.

The charge for the letter is AUD$49.00+GST. The letter provides the debtor with seven days to make the payment. If the payment is received by your office within seven days, we don’t charge any commission.

We will contact your office after the demand letter has expired to seek your instructions to proceed with debt collection. You should consider proceeding to debt collection if your debtor has not paid or been in contact. .

Debt collection

Problem customers can be sent straight to debt collection and we will enact a series of strategies to contact your debtor to recover the money: send a demand letter, emails, SMSs, phone calls. Our commission rate is starting from 25 percent on all monies collected (inclusive of all demand letters, phone calls, negotiations, basic location searches, monitoring of payments etc).

  1. Click Customers from the left menu.
  2. Select the customer to send to debt collector by clicking into the tick box next to their name.
  3. If they are on the Debt Collector Stage, simply click the Send to Debt Collector button. You can confirm this action in the pop-up window that appears by clicking the Send to Debt Collector button.
  4. Alternatively, you can click the Communication Actions drop down menu and  select  Send to Debt Collector. You will be asked to confirm this action in the pop-up box that appears.

Once you have taken these steps, all debtor communications history, open invoices and notes will automatically be sent to your nominated debt collector and the customer status will change to Exclude automatically.

These integrated services mean that you get paid faster with less stress and headache!
