What is Micro Deposit Verification?

Micro Deposit is an ACH payment option where the User does not need to log into their bank to complete the transaction. A bank account verification process is triggered whereby a micro deposit is deposited into the User's account to confirm payment.

How long does Micro Deposit take?

The Micro Deposit can take 1-2 business days to appear on the bank account once the transaction is made. After the micro deposit is validated, the transaction will clear within 1-3 business days from thereafter.

Steps to pay through Micro Deposit:

  1. Once logged into Simplypaid, the User selects the invoice(s) that they wish to pay and clicks "ACH".

  2. At the bottom of the Payment Form, click "enter bank details manually instead".

  3. The User will then be asked to fill in their bank account details:

    1. Routing Number - Bank identification number

    2. Account Number - Bank account number

    3. Confirm account number - As per b.

  4. After filling out the details above, click "Continue" and the system will start the process of sending the micro deposit to the User's account.

  5. Click "Continue with ezyCollect" to connect the bank account noted above to the transaction. Once connected, the User will be re-directed back to the Payment Form.

  6. Click "Pay Now" and the User will receive 2 emails:

    1. Email indicating the next steps to confirm the micro deposit in order to process the payment.

    2. Email to verify the Micro Deposit.

Note: The transaction status will show as “Processing” under your Transactions Tab in ezyCollect until the micro deposit validation is completed.

  7. Upon clicking on the “Micro Deposit” button as shown above, the system will prompt the User to add a 6-digit code as identified on their bank statement. The code starts with “SM” from the micro-deposit transaction descriptor.

  8. Upon entering the correct micro deposit code and clicking on the “Verify and Pay” button, the system will process the transaction. If the transaction is processed successfully, the system will send the payment receipt to the User via email.

Note: The status of the transaction will change to “Cleared” at this stage on your ezyCollect Transaction tab.

If the micro deposit fails or is abandoned by the customer, after 2 business days, the system will update the transaction status to “Failed”.
