change timezone and date format in your ezyCollect file

You can configure the timezone and date format to ensure that ezyCollect UI, sync time and communications time will be based on your company location.

How to change the Timezone and Date Format

  1. Login to your ezyCollect file.

  2. As a manager user, on the side menu, go to Settings then go to Configuration.

  3. You will see the Timezone and Date Format Setting, click Edit to make some changes.

By default, the date format is configured to DD-MM-YYYY and the timezone is on (GMT+11:00) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney

4. Once you choose your date format and timezone, please click Save to apply changes or Cancel to exit.

The following new date format will apply to:

  • Sync Date

  • System Currently: Active or Paused - Last Modified Date

  • Dates in email templates and while Preview

  • Dates in the merge field with tables used in email templates

  • All dates in Simplypaid Page, Credit Insights, Credit Application

  • All dates in the Transactions Page for ezyCollect Payments

  • All dates in the ezyCollect UI

How to apply the Timezone to the Communication Rules

  1. Login to your ezyCollect file.

  2. You will need to have an ezyCollect manager access to make this change.

  3. Go to Settings, then go to OVERALL COMMUNICATION RULES then click Edit to the Scheduled Communication Time. If you have previously changed the overall timezone configuration, then you can just select the new time here that will apply accordingly.

Important Notes:

However, please note that Monthly Client Statement does not follow this timezone. You can configure a specific one for this by following this guideline.

Thank you payment message is also sent on a default time which is 4pm AEST/AEDT and does not follow any timezone changes.

Once you make changes to timezone, we recommend that you manually sync your file to ensure these changes are applied accordingly. You can follow this guideline.

How to apply the Timezone to the Auto-Collect

  1. Login to your ezyCollect file.

  2. You will need to have an ezyCollect manager access to make this change.

  3. Go to Settings, then Payment Settings, under Direct Debit Settings, go to Auto-Collect and click Edit.

  4. You can choose the Timezone that you want to apply here, click Save to apply the new timezone selected or Cancel to exit.

The timezone in Auto-collect will apply to the following:

  • Time when auto-collect will be processed

  • Email notification for payments to be collected

  • email notification for pre-payment to customers
