Sending automated and on-demand or manual SMS

How to send SMS as part of your communication workflow (automated)

  1. Enable SMS by contacting your customer success manager or customersuccess@ezycollect.com.au and choose the SMS plan that will be suited to your needs.

  2. Once this is enabled, login to your ezyCollect account.

  3. Go to Settings then Communication Rules.

  4. Choose which follow-up you would like to have SMS as the communication method. For example, second follow up, then click View and Edit.

  5. From the Communication type, select SMS.

6. You will now be able to configure the SMS template*. You can preview the SMS template by clicking Preview. Once you have completed the template settings, click Save and Enable.

*Please note that all scheduled/automated SMS share one common template.

How to send on-demand or manual SMS to multiple customers (Bulk action)

  1. Login to your ezyCollect account.

  2. Please ensure that you have SMS enabled in your account or contact customersuccess@ezycollect.com.au to sign up for SMS plan.

  3. Go to Customers page and choose and select multiple customers you want to send manual SMS to

  4. Click the Actions button and choose Send SMS

5. Create your On Demand SMS message. By default, it will sent to contacts tagged with "Receive All Communications" but you can also choose other contact tags. Once you have drafted the message, you can click Preview to check your message. Then click Send to initiate bulk on demand SMS or click Cancel to abort this action.

How to send on-demand or manual SMS to individual customer

  1. Login to your ezyCollect account.

  2. Please ensure that you have SMS enabled in your account or contact customersuccess@ezycollect.com.au to sign up for SMS plan.

  3. Go to Customers page

  4. You can hover to the ellipsis on the right hand corner to show the actions you can perform to the specific customer. Then click Send SMS.

Alternatively, you can click on the selected customer then from the specific customer page, click Actions on the upper right hand corner. Then select and click Send SMS.

5. You will be prompted to create your SMS template or use the existing sample template. Make some changes on the SMS wordings and click Preview to review. Then click Send to initiate on demand SMS or click Cancel to abort this action.

By default, ezyCollect will pick up the mobile numbers of customer contacts tagged to "Receive Communications" but you can choose to remove or edit these numbers as needed.

SMS and Payments

You can use the following merge fields in your SMS Template if you have Simplypaid and ezyCollect Payments enabled in your ezyCollect account .

  1. <<Pay Now Link>> this will take your customers to integrated Simplypaid version where they can pay your invoice/s via credit anytime at the convenience of their mobile phone.

  2. <<Setup Direct Debit Link>> this will take your customers to an online direct debit form authority.

Once they click on the link, it will take them to their unique Simplypaid page where they can choose which invoice/s they want to pay. All mobile compatible.

Then proceed to enter their credit card details at the convenience of your customer's mobile phone.

Once they click on the direct debit link, they can enter the credit card details and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Once they complete the online direct debit form, your customer will receive a copy of this completed eDDR and you as an ezyCollect user will also receive a copy.

You can then use Collect Now or Auto Collect once you acquired the direct debit.
